Measuring Correctly – Adjustable Collar

1. Measure directly on the dog:
Take a measuring tape and wrap it around your dog’s neck. Make sure the measuring tape isn’t too tight, so your dog doesn’t feel uncomfortable, but also that it isn’t too loose, so it doesn’t slip over his head.
Accurate measurements are important: Don’t add any “extra centimeters” and don’t let the tape measure sag. Only the exact measurement counts.

2. Measuring an existing collar:

If you already have a collar, fasten it in the usual spot and place the measuring tape INSIDE the collar. Read the measurement at the point where the collar fits your dog. Important: Do not measure on the outside of the collar, as this will result in an inaccurate measurement. The circumference is always a few centimeters larger on the outside than on the inside. It’s also not advisable to lay the collar flat with the clasp open and then measure it, since the outside of the collar is longer in this case as well.

These methods will help you choose the perfect size for your custom, high-quality collar from Switzerland. Here at peakpup, we make sure your dog is not only stylish but also comfortable.

Measuring Correctly – Pull Stop

1. Neck circumference (for the perfect fit):

Measure your dog’s neck circumference at the point where the collar would normally sit, that is, in the middle of the neck. Don’t pull the tape measure too tight, but don’t leave it too loose either—the collar should fit comfortably. This is the tightest point the pull stop collar reaches when the dog pulls.

2. Head circumference (for putting on and taking off):

To ensure the collar fits easily over your head when putting it on, measure the circumference of the widest part of your head—usually around the ears. This measurement determines how wide the collar needs to be opened so it can be pulled over your head without any trouble.

Final result:

The pull stop collar should be adjusted so that it fits comfortably around the neck when loose and tightens slightly when the dog pulls, without choking the dog. The combination of neck and head circumference ensures that the collar fits securely but is easy to put on and take off.
