What size is right for my dog?

The sizes listed in centimeters correspond to your dog’s neck circumference, measured with the measuring tape lying flat against the neck. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at info@peakpup.ch

      Size S: 25–35 cm

      (Neck circumference)

Jack Russell Terrier, French Bulldog, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Dachshund

      Size M: 36–44 cm

      (Neck circumference)

Thai Ridgeback, Border Collie, Australian Shepherd, Boxer, Vizsla

      Size L: 45–56 cm

      (Neck circumference)

Labrador, Golden Retriever, Doberman, Rottweiler, German Shepherd, Rhodesian Ridgeback

      Measuring Correctly

      1. Measure directly on the dog:
Take a measuring tape and carefully wrap it around your dog’s neck. Make sure the headband isn’t too tight, so it doesn’t feel uncomfortable, and that it isn’t too loose, so it doesn’t slip over your head. Accurate measurements are important: Don’t add any “extra centimeters” and don’t let the tape measure sag. Only the direct measurement counts.

      2. Measuring an existing collar:

If you already have a collar, fasten it in the usual place and place the measuring tape INSIDE the collar. Read the measurement at the point where the collar fits your dog. Important: Do not measure around the outside of the collar, as this will result in an inaccurate measurement. The circumference is always a few centimeters larger on the outside than on the inside. It is also not advisable to lay the collar flat and then measure it, since the outer edges of the collar will be longer in this case as well.

These methods will help you ensure that you choose the perfect size for your custom, high-quality collar from Switzerland. Here at peakpup, we make sure your dog is not only stylish but also comfortable.

      Measuring Correctly – Pull Stop

      1. Neck circumference (for the perfect fit):

Measure your dog’s neck circumference at the spot where the collar would normally sit—that is, in the middle of the neck. Make sure not to pull the measuring tape too tight, but also not too loose—the collar should fit comfortably. This is the tightest point the pull stop collar reaches when the dog pulls.

      2. Head circumference (for putting on and taking off):

To ensure the collar fits easily over your head when putting it on, measure the circumference of the widest part of your head—usually around the ears. This measurement determines how wide the collar needs to be opened so it can be pulled over your head without any trouble.

      Final result:

The pull stop collar should be adjusted so that it fits comfortably around the dog’s neck when loose and tightens slightly when the dog pulls, without choking the dog. The combination of neck and head circumference ensures that the collar fits securely but is easy to put on and take off.
